➥1857: ఆవు కొవ్వుతో తయారుచేసిన తూటాను వాడేందుకు నిరాకరించి మంగళ్ పాండే అనే సైనికుడు ఒక బ్రిటిషు అధికారిని కాల్చి చంపాడు. మొదటి భారత స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటానికి నాంది ఇది.
➥1982: తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ స్థాపన, తెలుగు సినిమా నటుడు నందమూరి తారక రామారావు స్థాపించాడు.
➥అమెరికా మాజీ అధ్యక్షుడు జాన్ టేలర్ 1790 వ సం.లో జన్మించారు.
➥ప్రముఖ తెలుగు రచయిత : కె.ఎన్‌.వై.పతంజలి  1952 వ సం.లో జన్మించారు.
➥కొప్పరపు సోదర కవులు, , తెలుగు సాహిత్య అవధానంలో ప్రసిద్ధిచెందిన జంట సోదర కవులలో ఒకరు కొప్పరపు వేంకట సుబ్బరాయ కవి 1932 వ సం.లో మరణించారు.
➥నిజాం నిరంకుశ పాలనను ఎదిరించిన వ్యక్తి : జమలాపురం కేశవరావు 1953 వ సం.లో మరణించారు.
➥భారతీయ సినిమా నిర్మాత : జయకృష్ణ 2016 వ సం.లో మరణించారు.

థార్ ఎడారి ప్రాంతం

ఇది భారతదేశ పశ్చిమ ప్రాతంలో రాజస్థాన్ రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్నది. ఇది పూర్తిగా ఇసుక,రాళ్ళతో కూడి ఉంటుంది. ఇందులో పశ్చిమంగా లూనీ నది ప్రవహిస్తున్నది. లూనీ నదికి ఉత్తరంగా ఉన్న ఎడారినిగొప్ప ఎడారి (థార్ ఎడారి) అనీ, లూనీ నది నుండిప్రారంభమై రాజస్థాన్ లోని జైసల్మీర్, జోథ్ పూర్ల వరకు వ్యాపించి ఉన్న ఎడారిని చిన్న ఎడారియని అంటారు.
