Fat (lipids) from any animal source- hippo or human, cow or countess- is called "adipose tissue" and is made up of triglycerides. The adipose tissue of, say, a cow's leg is pretty much the same as the adipose tissue of, say, your leg. Fat is fat. Your own body doesn't know the difference. Your body is a chemical factory; it takes in various chemicals, breaks them down and turns them into different chemicals for use or storage. Your body doesn't know if the chemicals came from an animal, a vegetable or a laboratory- and doesn't really care; to your body, all ingested foods are simply chemical bonds to break and reform.
