solving previous years papers are extremely important. One can enhance her/his performance immensely, if previous years papers are solved properly. In my opinion, having a strong grip over the complete syllabus / topics just the half work; the other half is executing your preparation in the best possible way. So, once you are done with the complete syllabus, you should practice these previous years papers.
Take the syllabus copy and the previous question papers with u simultaneously. See on what points questions have been asked repeatedly. shortlist such topics. Give rating as VVIMP, VIMP, IMP (importance ratings). At least 2 questions are repeated every year. Practising previous years questions helps you analyze the question pattern and the expectations of the examiner.
